Throughout your lifetime relationship with a customer - from the moment they become aware of your existence to the end of their time singing your praises - they
should always come first. I'm not saying the customer is always right, but I am saying the customer always comes first.
So many businesses put themselves first, communicating stuff that, frankly, the customer doesn't give a damn about.
So many businesses assume the customer will be able to draw the correct conclusions from what they are communicating, whilst the customer's mind is
in "Am I bovvered?" mode.
By looking at life from the customer's point of view and understanding their issues, and the world in which these issues exist, as well as going where
the customers like to gather rather than expecting them to come to you, a business will experience far more success in selling things the customer wants.
