In some organisations there is a differentiation between Sales and Account Management. Sales get the first deal from a new prospect, and Account
Management get all the rest of the deals over the lifetime of the customer relationship.
In smaller organisations particularly, an individual will need to 'wear both hats'.
Getting repeat business doesn't happen automatically! It requires the maintenance of the relationship, regular communication and,
strange as it may seem, remembering to ask for further orders!
